Mikhail Krom
HISTORICAL ANTHROPOLOGY: Textbook
The text traces the evolution of anthropologically-oriented history: from its early forms (history of mindsets) to later ones (micro-histories, histories of the everyday, new cultural history). Noting historical anthropology’s general traits, as well as the specificities of its national schools, Krom discusses the possibilities for interdisciplinary dialogue between historians and anthropologists, the first experiments of historical anthropology in Russia, and the sub-field’s future perspectives
